What is Apóyate South Bay?
ApóyateSB, by Latinas Contra Cancer, is a bilingual Mutual Aid Network in Santa Clara County connecting those with urgent health needs to immediate community support. It facilitates resource sharing, emergency aid, and public health education while prioritizing equity, privacy, and trust. Inspired by informal systems, ApóyateSB formalizes mutual care practices for long-term community resilience.

Healing Together, Caring for Each Other
At Apóyate South Bay, mutual aid is more than just meeting material needs. It’s also about how we show up for each other in moments of crisis, conflict, or harm. We believe our communities already have the wisdom and love to create safety, healing, and accountability, without relying on systems that have historically failed or harmed us.
We ask:
1. How can we care for each other when things fall apart?
2. What does it look like to respond to harm in ways that protect everyone’s dignity?
3. How do we build relationships strong enough to hold real conversations about accountability and healing?
